EDITORIAL STANDARDS · CORRECTIONS
Sourcing
Every factual claim in a Suber Health piece is tied to a source, and the source is named where the claim is made and listed again at the foot of the piece. We prefer peer-reviewed studies, official statistics and primary documents to press releases and secondary reports. Where a study is small, observational, industry-funded or unreplicated, the piece says so. Where the evidence is contested, we show the disagreement rather than pick a side and hide the other.
Corrections
Readers who find an error can write to hello@suber.health. We check within two business days. A confirmed error is fixed in the piece, and a dated note at the top of the piece says what changed; the original wording is kept in the note so the correction can be read against it. Errors of substance in an issue of The Long Version are corrected in the next issue as well.
Advertising
Advertising is sold separately from editorial. Advertisers buy a dated slot and send a brief; the house writes and sets the creative and labels every placement ADVERTISEMENT. No advertiser sees a story before readers do, and no story is written, held or changed for an advertiser. Placements that make disease or cure claims, use before-and-after imagery or could be mistaken for editorial are declined and refunded. Advertisers must hold evidence for every claim they ask us to make; we ask for it with the brief and decline claims we cannot stand behind.
We may decline any advertiser or any claim, before or after booking, and refund the payment in full. If an issue cannot go out on the date an advertiser booked, the advertiser is offered another date or a full refund. No level of response is promised to anyone.
Quoting us
Anyone may quote a short passage of our work with credit and a link, without asking. Republishing a whole piece, or using our work to build a competing product, needs our permission: hello@suber.health.
Medical review
Suber Health intends to appoint a clinician to review health claims before publication, and to fill that seat by June 2027. Until then, the sourcing and correction practices above are the review, and nothing published here is medical advice; see the disclaimer.
