The years you have not lived yet, reported plainly.
One question about living longer at a time, followed further than the headline went, with every source in view.
× WITTIER · EST. JULY 2026 · SUBER.HEALTH
Most of what is known about living longer was learned slowly. In 1948 the town of Framingham, Massachusetts, enrolled 5,209 of its own people in a study of the heart that is still running. It took until 1961 to show what high blood pressure does, and the phrase "risk factor" came into common use through that work. The findings were reported in journals a few thousand people read, and it was decades before they reached a kitchen table.
Suber Health is written for the kitchen table. Each week it takes one question about the body and follows it past the headline, to the study, the sample size, and the sentence the researchers actually wrote. The source sits beside the claim. When the evidence is thin, we say how thin. It is read by people who intend to be here a long time and would like the years to be good ones.
WHAT WE COVER
Four sections, one body.
HOW WE WORK
Every claim carries its source, linked where the claim is made. When the evidence is thin, we say how thin. Corrections run at the top of the piece, dated, with the original line kept. Advertising is sold by the slot and written by the house, and no advertiser sees a story before readers do. A clinician's review of health claims is a seat we intend to fill by June 2027.
WHO IS BEHIND IT

Shaan Chagan
Edits Suber Health and runs Wittier, the studio that makes it. Before that, The Hustle.

Medical review
A clinician will review health claims before publication. Until the seat is filled, every claim links its source and corrections run at the top of the piece.
THE LONG VERSION
The letter. The week's longevity research in short, each piece linked in full, with a note from the editors. Free, every Thursday.
ADVERTISING
Advertising is sold separately from editorial. Advertisers buy a dated slot; the house writes the creative, labels it ADVERTISEMENT, and keeps it apart from the stories. Rates and specs are public. Advertisers see totals for their placement: how many letters were delivered and opened, and how many readers clicked. They never see who.
The Long Version
THE WEEK'S LONGEVITY RESEARCH, IN SHORT. FREE, EVERY THURSDAY.
The first issue arrives 12 November
